Dusan Lalatovic is a successful Serbian football player who just signed a signed a one and a half year contract with Slovak DAC Dunajská Streda, taking the third place on the Slovak First Football League (Fortuna League) at that time. The club signed Lalatovic for two seasons starting February this year and will consider extending the contract in the winter.
Dusan Lalatovic was born in Novi Sad, Serbia on November 29th 1998. As a boy, he spent his youth career as a football player in Vojvodina Novi Sad, one of the most successful clubs in Serbia. He started playing early, all the way back in 2005, finding his calling as a football player in his early youth. After playing in junior teams in FC Vojvodina, in 2016 Lalatovic moved to Budućnost Gložan where he continued appearing throughout 2016 and 2017. This defensive player was also a part of FC Hlozny, where he was pronounced the player of the league in 2016, which is just one of his numerous individual awards.
In 2018 (12th of February of the same year) Lalatovic signed for Radnički Niš. His official debut for the club was on March 7th 2018 during a match against Javor Ivanjica when the two teams clashed in 26 fixture match of the 2017-18 Serbian Super League season. Lalatovic replaced Miloš Petrović in 80th minute and showed great form and skill on the field. During the first half of the season playing for Radnički under coach Nenad Lalatovic (not related), Dusan played 9 matches in Serbia Super League. However, in the winter, he and his club parted ways in a mutual agreement.
The summer of 2018 was marked with many transfers, and Lalatovic was not an exception. During the summer, he signed a loan deal for one season with Dinamo Vranje. He appeared 7 times on the field in their jersey.
After Dinamo loan, Lalatovic became a free player before spending one half-season playing for FC Slavia Sofia. In 2019, the defensive player signed a deal with Slavia extending until January 2022, but the deal stated that he can leave the Bulgarian capital after the first season. He was greeted at his new address by the coach Zlatomir Zagorčić (former FC Vojvodina player) and a duo of well-known defensive players: Aleksandar Stanisavljević, a former left field back for FC Partizan Serbia, and Stefan Aškovski, a former player for Fortuna Sitard from the Netherlands.
Lalatovic currently plays for FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda, a Slovak football team based in Dunajská Streda. The team has a lot of supporters, but their most fiery fans are Hungarian immigrants living in Slovakia. In the 2007 to 2008 season, FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda won the group championship of the Slovak Third League. The club is also the winner of Slovak Second Division for 2012-2013. Coach Hélder from Portugal and assistant coach Nikola Popović from Serbia have great expectations from young Lalatovic and hope to see him shine in their team. The club and the defensive player have agreed on a deal lasting 2 seasons with an option to extend the contract in the winter.
While Lalatovic prefers to play as a defensive player, most notably a center back, he is also successful as a defensive midfielder. His left foot is his dominant and it can deliver a mean kick from the distance. Thanks to his height of 1.98 m (6 ft 6 in) and speed, Lalatovic has great potential to snatch the ball and stop attackers. In his busy career, Dusan Lalatovic recorded a total of 244 game appearances and scored 36 goals that help his teams achieve success on the field.
