As the last match of 3rd Grand Royal Challenge Cup 08 Group A's Myanmar and Indonesia played at Thuwana Stadium. Myanmar beat 2:1 and reached to the semifinal. Mr.Mahapab Chaiya Alee from Thailand took charged as a referee, the linesmen were Mr.Ratnayake Daya Ranjith (Sri Lanka) and Mr.Koung Ly(from Cambodia). When the match began, Khin Maung Lwin shot with the cross from Myo Min Tun but Indonesia defenders tackled it. Indo striker jersey No 8 Aiboy's targets were saved by Myanmar goalkeeper Aung Aung Oo. Myanmar striker Yan Paing a chance to try his luck from range. Defender Moe Win was also in action on Indo frontmen's attacks and keeper Aung Aung Oo saved. On 26 minutes, Yan Paing had got injury with a shoulder tackle by Indo keeper and the referee booked him the yellow card. At the time of 32 minutes, Indonesia who moved into the lead with the mistake of keeper Aung Aung Oo, jersey No 14 Sofyan scored from close range. At 44 minutes, Myo Min Tun crossed from the corner, Yan Paing volleyed and made the home crowd alive. Injury time, Myo Min Tun booked yellow card by pulling jersey No 8 and Indonesia's free kick was missed. At the begining of the 2nd half, Kyaw Thiha was substituted instead of Yan Paing who was injury. At 15 minutes, Indonesia defender jersey No 2 was accidentally sent off by the Thai referee for tackling skipper Soe Myat Min. Just 62nd minutes, Yazar Win Thein's cross from right wing, the substituted striker Kyaw Thiha shot exactly so Myanmar got second goal. Jersey No 20 Pamungkas was replaced instead of jersey No 11 Astaman. When the time of 68 minute, Paing Soe was substitued instead of Myo Min Tun 15 minutes later Soe Myat Min pick up a booking continuously, Aung Kyaw Moe was replaced and jersey No 17 IIham was replaced too. Both teams didn't score another goal and their shots were missed of the target. Because of this win, Myanmar reached the semis as a top winner of the group A and will meet Group B second team- Korea Hyundai.
